astitchintimesaves9 Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 (edited) I need to produce a pdf in black/white/red. To achieve this I'm using a colour ctb but changing all the viewport layer display colours to white (except the linework that I need in red) and therefore print black. The problem linework is xref and seems to be either circles, rectangle or 3D polylines, that will not change their viewport display colour even though I have actually changed them to white? They just print their original colour. Edited March 17, 2015 by astitchintimesaves9 Quote
kbgooner Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Is it not possible to just change the colours on the xref file? Quote
SLW210 Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Can you post the .dwg and xref? Do they use True Color? http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Plotting-True-Color-objects-in-monochrome.html Quote
RobDraw Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Yes, the color(s) of the objects in the XREF need to be set to "ByLayer" in order for the XREF layer to control the color. Quote
astitchintimesaves9 Posted March 18, 2015 Author Posted March 18, 2015 Not all linework set to 'ByLayer'. Thanks, Dain Quote
Dipali Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Open you ctb file and edit. Select white/ black for all colors other then red. And if the xref file is not using true color you will be able to print black and white. Quote
