kadd Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 Here I provided the drawing with the ukranian title block pasted as autocad block. But when I try to see (and then print) in print preview I cannot fit it for the list (A4) boundary. Despite I set in File--list parameters wizard (I do not exactly as it is called in englis, as I use the russian one) the paper size of A4, then I set it in File-Print I cannot when trying to print from List pane (despite the size is the same). But when trying to print from model pane the size of the drawing with title block of A4 is just of 1/9 of the paper size (despite A4), what is the problem? Is the possibility in autocad printing to fit for page size? At liost from List pane. 2.The other issue is when I try to paste this title block as the block in blank autocad drawing I cannot do it, or I just do not see it? Despite I insert this A4 block in the drawing of A4 size. razvodka11.dwg Quote

kadd Posted March 17, 2015 Author Posted March 17, 2015 Oh, I found such option as "centralize" or "align" in print dialog, so it could help, at list for List pane. But I have another issue. How Can I place axonometric (isometric) view of 3d body in such title block--for example for this title block? despite it would be better for A3 title block. I will upload this 3d view soon. Because when I simply paste the view in the title block drawing I just get one of orthogonal view, not desirable one Quote
kadd Posted March 17, 2015 Author Posted March 17, 2015 Here is this isometirc view that should be in hidden visual style with white background and with solid black lines placed in such outlook in title-block. roundd5.dwg Quote
gazza_au Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Do you want a 3D view in paper space? if so you need to create another view port and use a seperate layer as i have done in the other post. In layer options turn off the printer icon so this layer wont print. Upload your file and i will have a look for you. Gazza Quote
gazza_au Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Try this https://www.dropbox.com/s/j2w2qmyybae1uir/roundd5_1.dwg?dl=0 I created two paper space layouts, one with a viewport and one with the comand viewbase, have a look and change the visual styles etc. file saved in 2007 format. Gazza Quote
kadd Posted March 17, 2015 Author Posted March 17, 2015 But I provided the file. Could you explaine in in more detail. How to create viewport as this topic is most inunderstandable for me? Quote
gazza_au Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 sorry im at work at the min so iv'e been very brief.. go to the layer property manager and creat a new layer maybe called vport, assign a colour then uncheck the printer icon so this does not print. go to you paper space layout and then goto file - page set up manager and set up you page size for your page size title block etc goto view - viewports then create a new viewport, make sure your using the correct layer, vport. draw a rectange where you want it to be the then if you double click inside the viewport you will have the option to change the scale in the anotation scale bar in the bottom right of your screen. once in the view port you can change the rotation , visual style etc. click outside of the viewport to get back out of it once you finish editing. kadd Posted March 17, 2015 Author Posted March 17, 2015 Your drawing at dropbox has this isometric view at List2. But the lines there are not very smooth. And the colour of lines should be solid black. How to correct it? But in the list1 I could not delete other 3 not isometric views? Except it -- there is hardly visible outline near the isometric view? And what about the inserting of my title-block. Why I cannot do it? Maybe there is very little or maybe too big scale in title-block drawing? Quote
kadd Posted March 17, 2015 Author Posted March 17, 2015 (edited) It is not difficult to create the viewport. But in russian version I have such panes--Model-List1-List2. So when creating in List1 there is the rectangle (frame) from previous initial viewport? And I cannot delete it without deleting the body. And when printing in pdf printer the hidden style outlines are also not very smooth and the not very solid blue colour will be hardly visible on printer. So here the smoothness of lines and its colour is issue (And I doubted that the lines will be smooth in real printer--anyway the colour should be solid black). Relating the ukrainian title block when down-scaling I could paste in this drawing from simple copy from block editor (But why it is impossible directly) Edited March 17, 2015 by kadd the correction Quote
kadd Posted March 17, 2015 Author Posted March 17, 2015 SO just a question -- how made the colour of lines the solid black, but not colourless blue that would be very bad grey on paper? Quote
gazza_au Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Hi, Please see attached file and goto the second paperspace layout, if you double click inside the viewport window and then type VISUALSTYLES in the comand line you should have the option to change the visul style to which you preffer. In the page set up manager (right click on the paperspace layout tab) click modify then you will find the plot style layout (monocrome ctb)is the one for black and white. goto the other paperspace tab and you will be able to bring your titleblock into paper space by copy and pasting it then zoom extents and find it then higlight it with a window and right click and rescale it, delete the viewport if not need and creat a new one as i said in the previous post, make sure it is on the viewport layer that wont print. If you have acess to http://www.youtube. com there are plenty of tutorials on creating and editing viewports there. good luck ;-) razvodka3D.dwg Quote
kadd Posted March 18, 2015 Author Posted March 18, 2015 Thank You for advises but I do know the editing of Visual Styles. But I choose just the black colour for the body ribs (lines) in the Model pane. But in the List (or Layout pane -- I do not exactly the name in english version)--I see further the slighty dark-blue colour. And in this pane the Visual styles edit is inactive. So What about this issue. And as far as I remember there is no options for the width of lines except it is inherited from 3d drawing? Quote
gazza_au Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 I'm not exactly sure what you mean but the model is on layer 0, you can highlight the part and change this to any layer you want and then change the linetype ,width etc in the layer property manager, comand = ( LAYERPALETTE ). Quote
kadd Posted March 18, 2015 Author Posted March 18, 2015 In my autocad the area property do not work, despite it worked a ten days ago. Could you calculate the Volume and Area of Surface for the object in Roundd5 drawing? And except it-- the frame from viewport is visible so it could not be deleted or what? And the colour is not black solid but slighty dark blue, badly visible in pdf-printer. Quote

kadd Posted March 18, 2015 Author Posted March 18, 2015 Yes, here is the Volume. But I also need the area of surface. This two measures you can obtain after inserting AREA command in comamnd line--then in Properties you should see the Geometry tab with the value of Volume and Area. I undestand that to delete the viewport frame I need to unsighn the printing in the layer. But How you can get such solid black -- you can see in the preview (at the image) the slighty blue as well as the title block with dimension of A3 but due to some reason twice less as the A3 -- after defining it FILE-LIST parameters (wizard)? gazza_au Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Select objects: Area = 53922.0172, Perimeter = 0.0000 Did you open the dwg and pdf in my last post? If you look in the setting in the page set up manager in the paperspace tab you will see it's set to monochrome.ctb which will print in black and white. http://www.cadtutor.net/tutorials/autocad/paper-space-exercise.php Quote
kadd Posted March 19, 2015 Author Posted March 19, 2015 Yes I do now about monochrome but lines are not very smooth. What about the Volume and Area-- it should be in metric system--is it quadratic and cubic mm? Quote
