icad Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Hi, I am using the design centre a lot when bringing templates and layers from other drawings. Now I am working on Mac with Cad 2015 and only see Content. That is great but how do I bring my layers from other drawings?? Many thanks Quote
Dana W Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 It's a button on the Content panel of the Insert tab in the Windows version. Can't imagine them moving it just to mess with Mac people. In fact it's the only thing on my Content panel except AutoDesk Seek. Is this a work computer? Maybe someone removed it in the CUI. The Win version AutoCad command for it is ADCENTER. You can try that. Dunno why it's not DSGCENTER or DESIGNCTR or something at least moderately intuitive. Quote
laijumalias Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Try the short cut key CTRL+2 to bring up the design centre. Quote
icad Posted February 5, 2015 Author Posted February 5, 2015 Thanks guys. I still can't find a way to bring layers from a different drawing. Have found the content. Any ideas?? Quote
RobDraw Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 We need a bit more of a description of how you are trying to do it and a screen shot would help a lot. Quote
Dana W Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Right. What about this is missing from your INSERT tab? Quote
SLW210 Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 I moved your thread to the AutoCAD 2D Drafting, Object Properties & Interface Forum. Quote
icad Posted February 7, 2015 Author Posted February 7, 2015 Right. What about this is missing from your INSERT tab? yes thanks. this is exactly what I am talking about. this is what I use on windows. But how do I do that on my AutocAD Mac? Quote
