camril Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Hello, I'm new at AutoCad and need some help. I need to get the diameter dimensions, but it must be linear with 2 arrows, not 1. Like in picture. Problem: I don't know how to write a diameter symbol before the number. Quote

You are doing the latter. To get the diameter symbol - click on the dimension, type properties and in the pallette that comes up scroll down to text. In the text overrride box you need to type %%c11 You can look up special characters in help to get more info Quote
MaxwellEdison Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 %%C will give you the diameter symbol if you need to put it in a linear dimension, just add that into the Dim prefix field under the Primary Units heading of your Properties palette. I too would recommend you use the DIMDIAMETER command though. A quick breakdown of the commonly needed symbols: %%C - Diameter %%P - Plus/Minus (Tolerance) %%D - Degree Symbol Quote
