f700es Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 you have to draw a car to scale in 4 days? i hope you plan on spending every hour of those 4 days in acad 04:( its going to be all edge surf. what is this for? yeah really, yuck! I would download Rhino and use the 25 save demo and save over to dwg and then open in AutoCAD. I like Acad but not for drawing a car in 3D! Quote
Raggi_Thor Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 To be serious ( ) , you need a blueprint of a car to draw in AutoCAD as an excersise? Well, this is my favourite car, (Try google http://images.google.no/images?q=citroen%20ds%20drawing) Found this on http://carblueprints.narod.ru/ : Quote
rgarjr Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 To be serious ( ) ,you need a blueprint of a car to draw in AutoCAD as an excersise? I dont think Acad is suitable to draw that, instead 3ds Max should be able to tackle that. An example of what i've seen out there with cars.. Quote
shift1313 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 what i would do is take that blue print and insert it as a raster image and "trace" over it. This will help you setup your views. It is a very difficult task to draw a car, let alone one that already exists. Can you use the surface modeling commands well? Quote
Raggi_Thor Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 hellow to all i need help because i have to submit a car project within four days...... plz plz send me car with dimensions so that i can draw it in autocad 2004....highly obliged to you people!!! mahwish_fatima2003@yahoo.com DRAW it, he said. Not MODEL it. Quote

An example of what i've seen out there with cars.. I Think Rhino is the best among realistic alternatives for 3D modelling of a car. But as I said above, maybe he meant to just draw it in AutoCAD, as an excersise? Quote
shift1313 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 someone else posted this link and said he had royalty free cars http://www.thirdistudio.com.au/ThirdiStudioCADVehicles.html here are some that i drew http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=7906&stc=1&d=1225490648 Quote
