ILoveMadoka Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 When I use the open command in Autocad 2013 the following columns are displayed: Name | Date Modified | Type | Size I would like to add Date Created to this dialog so that it appears each time the command is used. I have added it in Windows Explorer and inside the Autocad dialog itself but when I close and relaunch Autocad the "new" column header is gone again. Is this a customizable option so that it remains? Please advise... Thanks! Quote
ReMark Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 How are you setting this? I don't seem to have a problem with the column disappearing after closing down AutoCAD then opening it up again. Quote

ILoveMadoka Posted November 24, 2014 Author Posted November 24, 2014 Win 7 x64 = Open Autocad Open command Right click on title bar (by Name header) Pick More Select Date Created (check box) Ok Open a file (just in case..) Close Autocad Relaunch Autocad Column missing!! Quote
ReMark Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 Same technique here. I'm using Win 7 x64 as well. Quote
ILoveMadoka Posted November 24, 2014 Author Posted November 24, 2014 If (in Autocad) I right click in the dialog and pick Properties, there is nothing in any of the tabs that allows me to add any columns whatsoever.. If I open Windows Explorer in Windows, the column is there. It appears that is not a global setting that Autocad recognizes. I am concerned it has something to do with Group Policy on our network... Bogus! Quote
ILoveMadoka Posted November 24, 2014 Author Posted November 24, 2014 But then why can I set that in Windows Explorer but not in Autocad? Quote
Dana W Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 It works for me too. The only thing I can think of is that this may be a workspace settings change. In WSSETTINGS are you automatically saving workspace changes? If not, try it. If you don't want to automatically save workspace changes, then simply save the current workspace again, after setting the filedia columns. Quote
BIGAL Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 3rd works for me always been there 64x win 7 Quote

Bogus! I don't understand where you are picking "properties". I simply right click the column header bar and a list of column headings appears. I pick one, for instance "create date", it appears, and stays for good. Wait a minute. It works for me in 2015 on Win 8, but not in 2009 on win 7. Maybe it's a Win 7 setting. I don't even have to close AutoCad to lose the column. I only have to change folders, the come back. Quote

SLW210 Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 You make the changes in Windows Explorer and then Tools>Folder Options...>View>Apply to Folders. Quote
