I'm suppose to be doing the front and top view for this drawing. I'm currently stuck on the front view. All I got so far is the base.

I figured out most of it. I think the only issue I have now is the R 3.00 TYP. in the back. What does TYP. mean?

R3.00 means the corner is Filleted (rounded) with a 3.00 radius, and the TYP. means it can be applied to all similar features unless otherwise specified.

Actually, I think drawing the fillets on that part is would be a bit challenging.... it would be much easier to model in 3D IMO.

It is the standard abbreviation for the word TYPICAL. I just thought I'd supply the word. ;) It's like "Speed limit 25 unless otherwise posted". Edited by Dana W

Yeah, no kidding. I'd like to see the OP post a results drawing. I am interested in how the support web could be shown in the Top View. I can draw a set of house plans with my eyes closed, but I have not done any mechanical drafting for more than 40 years, and I forgot the rules.:(

In real life, the edges of the support web are rounded and tangent to the flat surfaces, so there are no edges to draw. Whodathunk such a simple thing as a pillow block (shaft guide?) would be such a challenge, but it is.
