Hi there,

I'm trying to tidy up this drawing by getting rid of the lines all over it. Ideally id like to make it a 3d solid using SURFSCULPT but I can't seem to make it watertight. Is there any easy way of highlighting where the gaps are? Failing that, is there a command that will hide the lines?

Thanks

What's the object constructed out of? Meshes? Surfaces?

Can you upload the drawing.

It was originally converted from a .IGS file so it's come out as surfaces.

The grid lines are called Isolines, and you might just be able to switch to a Visual Style other than Realistic... otherwise go into the Visual Styles Palette and change Edge Settings from Isolines to None

Regarding turning it into a Solid, there seem to be some inconsistencies where there may be some unjoined surface edges, particularly on the inside of the shelled areas.

I would remodel the part.

What is the source? Why was it not modeled as solid?

Thanks for the ideas everyone, really appreciate it. As far as I know it was originally modelled in SolidWorks. I'll have another go at remodelling it but for the time being i've set VSEDGES to 0.
