you can right click a tab and chose to copy

 

you can use Design Centre to 'import' an existing one from elsewhere.

You can plot from either principles are the same a sheet of paper at scale. I would recommend using layouts though there are lots of tutorials search here.

When plotting from a layout you will typically be plotting 1:1. AutoCAD will automatically scale the viewports.

 

When plotting from model space you may not always be plotting 1:1.

 

Plotting 3D models, in my opinion, is easier if done from a layout.
