display setting wrong, can't see object when moving

OK, I know I have changed some setting, but I don't know what. When you select an entity to move it or copy it, there is supposed to be a shadow of the object which follows the cursor - so you can see where you're putting it. Somehow I have lost the "shadow." I can still copy or move, but I feel as if I have blinders on. Help!

Never mind, it's "dragmode." Have you ever had trouble looking up the answer because you don't know what word to look up? Thank you.

I frequently have that problem with searching for solutions. It happens more in Excel for me than in CAD, but I would not have found dragmode that's for sure!
