You can also right click the dwg, properties and take "ownership" of the file that way.

You would click your profile, click edit.  Under permissions you would see your profile with the current access restrictions.

These can be edited by clicking the edit button.

 

There are a few options here.  One is to give yourself all the basic permissions.  Two is to make yourself the owner or "principal" of the file or folder.

Option 3 is for your IT to give you admin priveleges on your local computer.

 

The benefit of option 3 is that it wouldn't happen anymore.
