ReMark
What were you attempting to do when the error happened? Is the error repeatable and reproducible in the same drawing at the same point? Is your version of AutoCAD 2012 current with all service packs? Did you research the error message over at the AutoDesk website?
SLW210
Try running the System File Checker tool in Windows. Usually that will fix it. You might also try to Restore Windows to an earlier point.
farycj
I'm using company PC. Does it affect the system if i use these checker tools? And basically what will happen if i Restore Windows to its earlier point?

ReMark
Working on your drawing doing what exactly? If it is repeatable then tell us what command you are using when the error occurs. AutoCAD > Menu Bar > Help > About AutoCAD 2012 will tell you what version you are using and which service pack is installed. May look something like this... I.106.0.0 AutoCAD 2012 SP1
SLW210
You should probably get your IT department to fix the problem. The System File Checker will only affect your computer. Windows System Restore
stevendrew12
Are you installing the correct 64 or 32bit version? Are you installing as Administrator? In my experience with AC it was always best to install fro the Administrator Account.
ReMark
stevendrew: The OP is not doing an install of the program as he clearly states, in his original post, that the problem occurred while he was working in a drawing.
