mattador04 Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 How do you make a wave spring?? Let me guess: make points on a circle, array them, have two planes connect them with what, a spline? Then you have a path along which to sweep your profile, which is the cross section of the spring! I may have just answered my own question..... Quote
Lazer Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 That is one way much the same as this , another is import 3d points and spline then then sweep a profile. Quote
Bishop Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 When you say "wave spring" do you mean a Belleville spring? Looks like a washer with waves in it? Quote
mattador04 Posted July 23, 2014 Author Posted July 23, 2014 Yes, a Belleville spring, I never knew that's what it was called.... Quote
mattador04 Posted July 24, 2014 Author Posted July 24, 2014 Actually no, after doing a google image search, I realize that it is not a belleville spring I am talking about.... I'll model it (since I ended up figuring out the answer to my original question) and post. Thanks for the input! Quote
Bishop Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Okay ... now I'm really curious to see what the actual part looks like, so make sure you come back with a picture, okay? Quote
