reggy Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Will someone here please tell me the method used to dimension an arc, or a chord? I am looking for the linear dimension, for example the perimeter of a circle, not the diameter or radius. Thank you, Reginald Quote
ReMark Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 You could dimension an arc length in AutoCAD 2000i using a lisp routine by Leonid Nemirovsky. Interested? Quote
JD Mather Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 ...method used to dimension an arc, or a chord? Chord is not the same as arc length. But if you know the desired arc length, use the circumference formula to dimension the chord. (in 2000i, not needed in later releases that dimension arc length directly) Quote
ReMark Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Left side = AutoCAD 2015 DimArc. Right side = Nemirovski lisp routine. The only difference is AutoCAD includes the arc symbol (note red arrow). Quote
