Hi all,

My 3D skills are not what they used to be...can someone please explain to me why the UCS, when drawing in 3D, will move when you click onto an object, be it a line, a solid, whatever? What I mean is that I have a three coloured, 3D version of the UCS that basically follows my mouse clicks. I understand dynamic UCS and it doesn't make a difference whether it is on or off. It's not really a problem, I'd just like a better understanding

Thanks

Understanding....not 'undertsnading'

It sounds like your UCSFOLLOW system variable is set to 1.

The default setting for that system variable is 0, as described in the attached snippet

from the SYSVDLG.

Or might you be talking about the 3D Modeling tab OPTION of showing the Z axis

in your cursor crosshairs?
