Faouweb Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 Hi, How can I rotate a Spur Gear as you can see on the picture. http://s3.postimg.org/wbwxx2soz/rotation.png Thank you Quote
JD Mather Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 Add an angle constraint and then Drive Constraint or in Environments>Dynamic Simulation add a Rolling Cylinder on Cylinder joint and then Imposed Motion on Revolution joint. If you can't figure it out - simply attach your assembly here. Quote
Faouweb Posted May 16, 2014 Author Posted May 16, 2014 Add an angle constraint and then Drive ConstraintI don't know how to do it in Environments>Dynamic Simulation add a Rolling Cylinder on Cylinder joint and then Imposed Motion on Revolution joint. We don't have Inventor Pro I have attached 2 Parts and 1 Assembly. Thank you Assembly1.zip Spur Gear test.ipt Part8.ipt Quote
JD Mather Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 You have attached the wrong files which will result in a delay in getting an answer. Have you installed all Service Packs for r2013? (the correct answer is - no) Quote
Faouweb Posted May 19, 2014 Author Posted May 19, 2014 (edited) Hi Mather, The file is a little bit big and I can not attached it, I used Pack and go but is still big. I will put the Assembly and the Part in the attachment. Here is what I have. I did not installed it my self, we have a staff in the company which have access in order to install or modify applications. ---------------------------- Edit --------------------- Is there a step by step tutorial to do it ? Thank you Part1.ipt Design Accelerator.zip Assembly1.zip Edited May 19, 2014 by Faouweb Quote
JD Mather Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 Step 1 Right click on you Design Accelerator sub-assembly and set it to Flexible as shown below. You should now be able to drag the gear motion. Next I will demonstrate how to Drive the motion. (also notice in the image above your assembly references Part8, yet you attached a Part1?) Quote
Faouweb Posted May 19, 2014 Author Posted May 19, 2014 Thank you very much JD Mather , I can rotate the Gear Quote
Faouweb Posted May 21, 2014 Author Posted May 21, 2014 I am so happy to see the Gears rotating, but I want to add some Gears and V-Belt to make something more complicate. How can I add Gear or V-Belt to existing one, I have tried but I am sure it's not a the good way to do it as you can see in the picture: http://s10.postimg.org/hk0b8baax/belt.png Thank you Quote
JD Mather Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Notice that your gears created by the Design Accelerator are placed in a special sub-assembly in the browser and must be created in pairs. I simply drill down and get the *.ipt files and use these like any other parts in my own assemblies and sub-assemblies. Quote
Faouweb Posted May 21, 2014 Author Posted May 21, 2014 Is that correct? http://s12.postimg.org/7rznu33x9/belt1.png I tried to move the Spur Gear1:1 which is in red square to the Spur Gears:1 ( the special sub-assembly ) but it does not want to move, even if I change the name. Thank you for your help and your patience Quote
