Autocad 2014

Something changed. I could individually select numerous objects individually then pan around the drawing without losing the selected objects.

Now, I can select various individual objects, with no active commands, and as I start to pan, without moving the selected objects off screen, I lose all the selected objects.

Thoughts?

Are you still using AutoCAD 2014? SELECTIONOFFSCREEN wasn't introduced until the 2018 version.

Did you try all the suggestions on the first page?

Had the same problem and this is how I solved it:

Problem: I click to start selecting, then zoom in to click again to end the selection, type the command (ex. Move) and only the objects that I see will actually move.

Solution: turn  SELECTIONOFFSCREEN to 1
