basic question but i been using cad for 4 years and never figured out the command or how to place text on top of lines so the lines dont cut threw the text. thx

SO that the txt doesn't actually cut or modify the entities behind them, I like using backround mask in the MTEXT editor or text mask for existing single line text, you can also set backround on dimensions in either the dim style or through the properties menu as the fill color...

The problem with textmasking is that it creates an imaginary box around the text which effectively blocks whatever is/are behind it.

If you just want to bring the text as it is infront of the line, try DRAWORDER.
