grain Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Hi, I'm trying to edit an inserted exref of a sanitary ware fitting. Or maybe there's a means of modifying the colour and switching off attached text. Here's the link (Potentially very useful resource) http://www.idealspec.co.uk/resources/cad-search-results.html?advanced=y&searchText=bath Quote
Dadgad Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 You posted this in th LT forum, but your profile shows you using regular Vanilla Autocad, not sure which to believe. If you are using Vanilla you might want to try using NESTEDCOPY, but it is an Express Tool, so if you are using LT, you won't have that option. Quote
grain Posted March 17, 2014 Author Posted March 17, 2014 Hi Dadgad, I've just googled Vanilla and yes I've used Autocad since Release 10 when it was DOS. (I'm obviously a very slow learner.) I bought Autocad LT in 2009. I found it frustrating downloading the xref's on the above link only to find even though I can modify the appearance in Layers I couldnt explode the group to seperate the 3 view of the block. Quote
eldon Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 I usually use the Blue Book, and with sanitary ware, I open up the drawing, and copy to clipboard the items that I want, and then paste into my drawing. I just get what I want out of the manufacturer's drawing (usually Top view only). That way round (instead of x-reffing) it would appear to solve your problem Quote
