darris07 Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 i imported a cad file for the first time and i put it in on the wrong plan level. how can i move the whole plan to a lower level without reimporting it Quote
JRevit Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 right click the imported dwg, element properties and choose what level you want it on in 'Base Level' Quote
darris07 Posted December 3, 2008 Author Posted December 3, 2008 ok i already built the drawing up from the level it was currently on, which was too low. is there a simple fast way to move everything up to a higher level? Quote
JRevit Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 click on the level in question and change the height (in elevations) Quote
darris07 Posted December 3, 2008 Author Posted December 3, 2008 i have an extremely picky instructor and if the ground line doesnt show 0'-0" and the floor line 1'-0" then ill lose points. i have to create a slab that the plan sits on which starts at the ground level Quote
JRevit Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 easiest way is to add a new level 1' above ground level, and draw your slab connecting to the top and bottom of each level. remember in Revit, dont be afraid to use lots of levels. my default template file has 16 levels for just a normal 2 storey dwelling.
