When I open a thread I get a 403 forbidden message. Why?

Chrome Version 33.0.1750.117 m

Wow! 37,734 posts!

That's my age in days not my post count.

Is that the latest version of Chrome?

If you have another browser available like IE for instance you might want to test with it.

Got the same problem on IE.

Chrome is most current version.

Maybe one of the mods has an answer.

I take it that the problem only happens here at CADTutor and not at any other similar type website?

In the meantime try clearing your browser's cache. Might also try clearing your browser's cookies as well.

Psst, if he was responding, he probably wasn't getting the message.

Yeah, I got the message. ;) But the problem is selective. No problem here but on some search results the 403 comes up.

I didn't want to point out the obvious Rob so I elected to hear thag out. A selective 403 problem at one site. Hmmmm......puzzler.

Yeah, sounds like a local problem. Cookies and cache, in addition to making sure browser is up to date, as ReMark said, is a good start. Get rid of all temp files, defrag, and other regular computer maintenance tasks wouldn't hurt and should all be done on a regular basis.

If there are certain threads that give you the error, please point me to them.
