Sengna Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Sorry i am still on Autocad 2010, i bet Autocad 2012 or higher version should have this feature. Anyway. I am looking for just regular dims tool that i can choose to dimension either Horizontal or Vertical, why my autocad 2010 split into vertical and horizaltal, it's no big deal but it wastes of time when sometime i mistaken pick the vertical while i want to dim horizontal on my dwg . Does anyone know where can i customize this? or i need to move to 2014 Quote
tzframpton Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Linear Dimension replaced these. A Linear Dimension locks a dimension in X and Y, not X or Y, as shown by Horizontal and Vertical dimensions. I do not know a solution to this for 2010, but Linear Dimension is confirmed in 2014, but not sure how far back it was implemented. *EDIT* How easily accessible is 2014? Does your company already have it, but you simply have not installed it yet? If that's the case, I promote you to upgrade as each new release has minor and sometimes major improvements over the last release. Quote
Sengna Posted March 8, 2014 Author Posted March 8, 2014 Thank you very much tzframton, I found the linear dim tool via CUI per your suggestion. I do not have 2014 autocad and it is on my wish list from a long time. None at work use autocad 2014. I bet Autodesk has improved many features in autocad 2014 Quote
tzframpton Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Glad you found it. I figured it went that far back but couldn't remember. Quote
