jens0504 Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Hi! Im a decent drawer at autocad, mainly draw simple electrical drawings, mostly in automation. Ive mostly been using autocad LT 2000 modell. Now that we upgraded to 2014 versions I was hoping the new version had some more options for interactive drawing. Problem: I am curently editing a topology drawing of an industriell fabric in norway. This topolgy drawing will be imported to an Ipad or a galaxy note. With the autocad format. What I wanna do is to make a plain square(this will represent a frequency converter). And when the workers go around with their galaxy note, they can press this square, and aditionel information will be visible. For example as a textbox on the side. And when they press back on the screen or on the square. Anyone got any tips or tutorials on this? Thank you Jens Quote
steven-g Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Autocad has the ability to use objects as hyper-links - so you could link to either a web page or even to a document, but the document would need to be on the device, and in Autocad you have to press the Ctrl button at the same time, so I'm not sure how that would work. Does Autocad run on the Ipad or a tablet? Another option would be use an image of the Autocad drawing as a background image in a web browser and then program in "Hotspots" for picking, but that maybe beyond what is usable if the drawing changes often. BIGAL Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Autocad does run on some other devices using a uploaded Autocad dwg with very limited commands trying to remember AutoCad WS ? Found it www.Autocad360.com Quote
Tuns Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 I think you'd be better off making a list with all the information on it than trying to push a button and use some sort of dark magic to make it get the information based on your location on this lovely planet. Quote
