Sengna Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 I have my object tangent snap on and i was trying to snap the circle to the vertical line but it didn't show me the tangent point icon. Any body know why? or there is no way we can't have a line attach to a circle. thanks Quote
ReMark Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Did you cycle through your osnaps using the TAB key? Quote
Sengna Posted February 24, 2014 Author Posted February 24, 2014 Did you cycle through your osnaps using the TAB key? I don't know what that mean, i move the circle close the the red vertical line and i hold the Ctrl key on keyboardand right click then pick the tangent snap but the tangent icon did't show up close to the the red line, it work if i use Perpendicular, mid point but not tangent. ReMark Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 In the situation you show above why aren't you using the Circle command with the Tan-Tan-Radius option? You did not know you can cycle through all of the osnaps you have enabled using the TAB key? Of course your OSnaps have to be On in order to do that. Quote
RobDraw Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Tangent will not give you a specific point in that situation. If you chose quadrant as your base point, then you could place the circle anywhere on the line and it will still be tangent. Quote
