Patty Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 I work for a small consulting firm. We are currently using Dropbox (cloud) after a recent crash of a shared external hard drive. We have a logo and a stamp on our templates. Dropbox does not acknowledge the image just the path. The images do not show up on AutoCAD 360 either. How can my co workers have access to the image not the path for printing purposes. We are currently using Autocad 2014 and Carlson. Quote
tzframpton Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 I think you and all other coworkers may have to map a drive letter to the root Dropbox folder. This is the only way me and others have been able to successfully use Dropbox, since it makes AutoCAD and other applications think it's a networked drive. But, that entails you to Share your root C drive. I don't know if there's a better solution but that's my take on it. Hope it helps. - Tannar Quote
Organic Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 The simpler solution would be to embed the two images into the drawing, so that they are not externally referenced. See http://autocadtips.wordpress.com/2013/02/22/embed-a-picture-not-as-a-reference/ for an explanation of how to do this. It is obviously not feasible to do this for old projects, although you could put it in your template and use it for new projects etc. Quote
