Faouweb Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Hi, I have a drawing with a detail, I want to hide dimension from the big view port and show it in the detail as you can see in the picture: I use Annotative dimension. Thank you Quote
ReMark Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 As long as the dimension is on its own layer it would be no problem to do just freeze the dim layer in the circular viewport. Quote
Faouweb Posted January 31, 2014 Author Posted January 31, 2014 Thank you ReMark It's OK I have put dimension on Paper space, It's a small drawing. Quote
edwinprakoso Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 You might also want to check 'annotation scale'. You can manage which annotation should appear in particular scale. Quote
ROBP Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 dimensions are always in paper space here else his old school Quote
ReMark Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 dimensions are always in paper space here else his old school One might think that is the case however AutoDesk, in its infinite wisdom, gave users the option to keep text and dimensions in model space when they added the annotative scaling feature. And for some disciplines that feature does offer some advantages. I for one, however, do not use annotative scaling but I am not about to force my view down anyone's throat. My advice is to try it both ways then make a choice. At least it will be an informed decision. Quote
