Can't you do a "save as" or an "export to" a DWG file?

The best (and only) method is to use the Export function. Activate the Export tool by selecting the Application Button > Export > CAD Formats > DWG. Click the settings button next to the drop-down menu, and locate the "Solids" tab. Make sure "ACIS solids" is selected, and click OK.

Now, under the "Show in List" drop-down menu, choose the option that best suits your needs. I usually set it to "Views in the Model" so I can see all the Views, and choose the one(s) I need.

Below this section it will populate all the Views in the model. Notice the "Type" column. Anything that's a 3D View will export as 3D solids in model space. Anything that's a Sheet will export the titleblock, and so forth. Revit knows which View needs to be 3D and 2D, based on the View Type.

One last tip: on selecting "next", be sure to uncheck the "Export views on sheets and links as external references" in the Save As dialog. This may be a feature you want, but in most cases it creates an unnecessary amount of XREF's and can be a pain to manage.

Hope this helps. :)
