Hi Guys - Can someone tell me how to chamfer an isometric box. I need to do the 2 front edges but unsure.

Cheers,

Assuming we are talking about a 2D isometric drawing, measure up and then over and connect the dots, trim, etc.

That doesn't help me I am afraid. Cant seem to get the corner looking like a chamfer!

yes we are talking about an Isometric 2-D drawing.

Is this what you are talking about? (see attachment)

Copy the lines over the distance needed, don't offset.

You can draw an iso circle with the ellipse command and draw a line between the intersection also.

trying to chamfer the 3 corners on the top of this object

Is that a 3D model by any chance?

You want to chamfer the corners not the edges right?

You told me 2D so I hope that is accurate.

Same technique as I described before, locate the two points, connect the dots.

I would have done it in 3D and extracted the 2D view from the model. Make life easy on yourself by letting AutoCAD do the work.

In isometric view a chamfered edge will look odd, even though drawn correctly. Choose your pick, I think they all are misleading

Nearly - need to chamfer the edge not the corner
