hellnback Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 Hi all, I have a parcel with a huge amount of little lines which all need a bearing and distance on them. No worries, added the labels. The problem I have is that I'd like to do a detail on some of the more 'tight' areas and have the labels for that area not show up on the main plan. If I was using text I'd just do a couple of anno scales, is there a way to do the same thing with Parcel labels. Hope this makes sense . Cheers, Brad Quote
Strix Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 so are you using viewports and putting these labels onto a separate layer such that you can turn them off in your zoomed in view? Quote
hellnback Posted November 27, 2008 Author Posted November 27, 2008 Yeah, definatley using Viewports. Well I could do separate layers, but would prefer to use anno scales if at all possible. Quote
rustysilo Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 I thought the parcel labels would adjust based on the viewport... or maybe it's just the scale settings of the dwg? If they aren't adjusting check the styles. I'm home so I can't do much to help til Monday. Quote
koloiski Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 You could try changing the labels to "tags" in that area and have it in "table" form. Then edit the label style by changing the tags visibility value to "false". Quote

Eg Display @ 1:5000 but not at 1:20000. Ended up just sticking the ones I want displayed on a different layer, but would still like to know if it can be done with anno scales. Cheers. Quote
rustysilo Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 Did you do a regenall after changing the viewport scale? Quote
BOB'27T Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 I like to put them in using a table. You can make the text annotative in a table. Hope this may be of help. Quote

No. Anno scales have no affect on C3D labels, unfortunately. It has to do with the fact that C3D labels have been around longer than Annotative scales. It would be nice if Autodesk changed labels to work on the Anno scale (or at least made it another option in the Label Style), but I don't know if that's in the plans or not... Quote
