igreere Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 Hello. I have the following issue with hatching. How can I solve it? Thank you. Quote
ReMark Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 Erase what's there and redo the hatch? There is one other option (if I am understanding your question correctly) and that would be to find and use the Merge Hatch lisp routine. Quote
igreere Posted November 26, 2013 Author Posted November 26, 2013 I usually erase and hatch again, but I was wondering if there is any other choice. I am a bit lost with the MERGE HATCH. I read it's shortcut is MH, but apparently not for 2010, where it says unknown command. Quote
MSasu Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 Alternatively may edit those two hatches and make sure that have identical Origin Point. Quote
igreere Posted November 26, 2013 Author Posted November 26, 2013 I was also thinking of the origin point. But for both hatches the origin X and origin Y are set to 0. Quote
Dana W Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 I was also thinking of the origin point. But for both hatches the origin X and origin Y are set to 0. In the hatch edit dialog you can select a new origin point. Any corner of that wall structure will do. It will not merge the two hatches, but they will align and appear to be merged. Select the same point for each hatch. Edit the hatches one at a time. The Merge hatch routine is a lisp program. You will have to download it to your computer, load it to your AutoCad program, and then run it with whatever command it wants to be executed by. Quote
igreere Posted November 26, 2013 Author Posted November 26, 2013 Thank you. I edited the hatches and it looks fine now. Do you happen to know where I can download the lisp from? Quote

igreere Posted November 27, 2013 Author Posted November 27, 2013 Thank you. I loaded what I downloaded from Cadalyst, but after typing MH and selecting the first hatch, it says : error: no function definition: VLA-GET-BACKGROUNDCOLOR. Does it have anything to do with the fact that the initial Tip is made for autocad 2013 and not for the 2010 version? Quote

Lisp debugging is a little beyond my expertise. I do believe though that lisp is not release dependent. It should work in both versions but there may be something that needs changing. Someone will be along soon with an answer, I am sure. If you have no solution in an hour or so, Open a new thread in one of the Lisp forums to ask.... "How do I get Merge Hatch lisp to work?" Being in a forum that specializes in your particular subject often attracts more and faster attention. Since you have a new question on a different topic, it is not like double posting. Quote
ReMark Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Attach a copy of the drawing to your next post. I'll run a test on it using a lisp routine I have. Quote
