Sengna Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 (edited) Does anyone have this problem before where the Mleader arrow head didn't change size when change the scale on Object property? the Arrow head size didn't change corresponding to the scale, i included the pic below, the top picture, the arrow head was set at .18" but was really small when i plot out, so i wanted to make it bigger, when i changed to .50" or .75" or even 1" the arrow head became even smaller than .18". Does anybody know what did i do wrong here? only when .18" than the arrow side is legible Edited October 18, 2013 by Sengna Quote
SLW210 Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 Yes, if the arrow gets too large for the length of leader it will disappear. Try making the leader longer or try something just slightly larger like .25. Quote
Sengna Posted October 18, 2013 Author Posted October 18, 2013 you are absolutely right, the length of the Mleader matters, i noticed when i made the longer lenght then i can adjust any size of the arrow head. I am working on P&ID diagram sometime i can only have limited space for the length of the leader can go. I am not sure if there is a way to reset the distance on Mleader Style Manager so that i won't effect the arrow head if i only have short distance to work with. Thanks SLW210 Quote
SLW210 Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 The only workaround I know of is to make a dynamic block or just a block of the arrowhead you want and use it separate from the Mleader. Quote

Dana W Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 Are you permitted to put your mleaders in paperspace? If you do, then you can size it to the actual size instead of trying to figure out the scale. Quote

Sengna Posted October 20, 2013 Author Posted October 20, 2013 Here is a quick and dirty Dynamic Block. Thank you the Dynamic Block, how did you create that? i can insert this dynamic block into my diagram but i want to make it relevance to the rest of my Mleaders in the drawing, i don't know much about Dynamic block how do i make the end of the leader stop in front the text? or another word i don't want the underline the text. (For the regular Mleader, i usually change it by going to object property and go to MISC----Type) Quote
Dana W Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Yeah, that is the biggest problem with paperspace dimensions and leaders. They only see modelspace? What's up with that? They should at least be taught to switch from model to paper? How do they figure out where the detail views come from? Quote
Sengna Posted October 20, 2013 Author Posted October 20, 2013 I am agree, that is why i was told to put everything on modelspace except Title block, notes. Co Works has some type of software called " CAD viewer" that has very limited feature to view DWG so i am not sure if it has the layout tab like Full Autocad or not, usually it would be the Designer/drafter duty to help or plot out all the detail drawings/views when they need to look for detail or note. Using a Dynamic Block in place as a pseudo-Multileader isn't the best way about doing things. You are losing more than you are gaining. Exhaust all efforts before you go this route. Quote
