sparkyuk
We have just installed Auto CAD 2014 and opened an existing drawing made in 2010 version it opened fine went to print it and something weird happened, the plot window seems to be corrupt, I did try the same dwg saved back and then reopened in 2010 and it prints fine so its not the drawing. So I then opened a new A1 drawing and did a simple drawing direct in 2014 and tried to print as before and it did the same thing (see photos), I also did try printing it and it printed the same a the plot preview below. So is it 2014 to blame or is it a setting that needs sorting please ?
mikekmx
settings. in 'page setup manager' when you right-click the PS tab you are going to plot. especially check page size and orientation throughout loads of settings Have a play....it may take a while :-) ^^^ as always, i may be totally wrong. ReMark
My bad. Do this instead. Switch from Layout to Window. Choose as your window pick points the lower left and upper right corners of your border. Keep the scale at 1:1 and check off "Center the plot". Now test plot it. sparkyuk
Remark checked that already and if anything its worse by selecting window instead of extents, i did try center window on and off btw
Tuns
Try setting the limits of the page then plot it using the limits?

RobDraw
This really looks like the layout size in the drawing is larger than the page size for the plotter.
sparkyuk
Made it worse how? Its made the drawing zoom out even more Rob yes it is whats happened but there is no reason for it so i am still unable to find a solution to this problem. Even if i say "print to fit" and not worry about scale the drawing still over hangs the paper size ?
RobDraw
Could it be units are different in layout than they are in plotter?
sparkyuk
You thinking metric on drawing and imperial on plotter ? I am off out now but will check tomorrow when back in office
RobDraw
It looks like the ratio could be 2.54:1.

GTepe
Hello sparkyuk, I'm having the same problem. Just upgraded from 2012 to 2014 and can not plot drawings properly even thou drawings plot ok in 2012. Preview even looks good. Until a solution can be found my work around is to plot to pdf then print the pdf. I use sheet set manager to do the majority of my plotting which does not work either currently.
