Changing the section letters after creation

It seems to me that i cannot change the letters of the section line after creation, is it true?

I can edit the section, but i don't find the letters

No, it is not true.

Double click on the section view (not the view label).

Change the View Identifier (middle bottom of drawing view dialog box).

10 years old now, this topic. Still unanswered. Still highly relevant. JD Mather above specify how to change the view label, not the SECTION LETTER. Anyone ?

AHA ! Figured it out ! It IS solved right in this forum: You do as JD Mather states above, BUT you double-click on the SECTIONED view, i.e. the one that is HATCHED (multiple slanted line-fill). THEN you can edit the section LETTER, not the section view label.
