Selecting obscured grips

Here's a simple one...

How can i select obscured grips in 3D?

ex: an extruded rectangle intersects another one just at the end of the extrusion. I would like to extend it further but i'm not able to select the ">" grip. How can I do this without isolating objects, I need them to reference the length of the extension, and so on...

Hope this was clear :)

Thx for your help and time

What visual style is current in your model, or viewport?

If you use 2D Wireframe you should be able to view and select any obscured grips.

I's x-ray... The grips are visible, but non select-able...

In 2D wireframe it works just fine. Why is that?

I'm new at 3D modeling and could use some tips on how to modify objects. Is there any in detail manual or something similar that could be of use for a so called beginner?

This describes one of the SYSTEM VARIABLES which controls selection behavior.

If you click on the TUTORIALS link at the top of the page, you will be able to find plenty of tutorials to help you. :)

Try turning off Culling

Ribbon > Home > Subobject > Culling

Command line: CULLINGOBJ = 0
