zhdaskonto Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 I need to get a PNG (or any other image file) with a transparent background off of my layouts. We need them to put some images on our website. I've tried everything...pngout, wmfout, converting, GIMP, inkscape...can't seem to make it work. Any help or advice is much appreciated. Quote
PotGuy Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 I'm not sure on how to achieve a transparent background image, but in AutoCAD you can insert an image and trim the background using 'imageclip'. This can be used to reduce the size of an image and possibly trim round areas of the image, but I'm not sure whether it will help. Quote
SLW210 Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 This should be easy with GIMP or Inkscape. What steps have you taken? PNG should hold transparency. AFAIK, WMF should have no background and that should be maintained when converted to PNG. At what point do you think you have a background? Quote
