ReMark Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 In this case I might have left it in 3D and set up the four standard views (top, front, side and iso) using either a conceptual or hidden visual style. Quote
trilok2047 Posted July 1, 2013 Author Posted July 1, 2013 Remark, actually i have to draw the elevation of 2d spiral staircase.. for my ease, i drew the 3d staircase and used FLATSHOT command to create 2d elevation.. but unfortunately, it didnt look so good.. so i am expecting any alternative methods for drawing the elevation of 2d spiral staircase... i have tried using spline bt i couldnt... nestly Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Looks like you're using the default settings, which show hidden lines, but show them as "continuous". If you're going to include hidden lines, load an intermittent linetype (Hidden or Dashed). Also, to produce an elevation, use the viewcube to switch to front, left, right, or back.... you're existing flatshot is from a non-orthographic perspective. In the example below, the one in the middle is roughly the same view as yours, but with hidden lines OFF and tangential edges ON. The left one is orthogonal Right view, hidden lines off and tangential edges ON. Here's a demo I made years ago showing some of the FLATSHOT options Quote
