yoegee Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Hey guys, Does anyone have any idea why everytime I use the DAL shortcut, I get a dimension style override appear? Yet it doesn't do it when i use DIMALI or the DIMALIGNED button? I've searched extensively for a solution to this yet I can't find a solution that works. The >Drawing Setup>Scale tab doesn't seem to exist in this version, and I've tried setting all the CreateDimOverride values in the registry to 0, but even that isn't working. Does anyone have any idea how to control this? Thanks.... AutoCAD 2012 Quote
Dadgad Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Welcome to CADTutor. I just checked on 2013 Autocad Vanilla, and DAL at the command line gets me to the DIMALIGNED command, no problem. You could quite easily go into your .PGP file and add (at the very bottom of the list, where one is meant to save customizations) DAL as the shortcut for DIMALIGNED. If you have ALIASEDIT in 2010, you could do it there even more easily. Quote
yoegee Posted June 28, 2013 Author Posted June 28, 2013 Hey, thanks for the reply The weird thing is, in the pgp file, the command looks as it should (DAL, *DIMALIGNED), but when I type DAL into the command line, it comes up as DAl, and then proceeds to do this; DAl _.LAYER Current layer: "2D_DIM" Enter an option [?/Make/Set/New/Rename/ON/OFF/Color/Ltype/LWeight/TRansparency/MATerial/Plot/Fre eze/Thaw/LOck/Unlock/stAte/Description/rEconcile]: _S Enter layer name to make current or : 2D_Dim Enter an option [?/Make/Set/New/Rename/ON/OFF/Color/Ltype/LWeight/TRansparency/MATerial/Plot/Fre eze/Thaw/LOck/Unlock/stAte/Description/rEconcile]: Command: _.-layer Current layer: "2D_DIM" Enter an option [?/Make/Set/New/Rename/ON/OFF/Color/Ltype/LWeight/TRansparency/MATerial/Plot/Fre eze/Thaw/LOck/Unlock/stAte/Description/rEconcile]: _S Enter layer name to make current or : 2D_DIM Enter an option [?/Make/Set/New/Rename/ON/OFF/Color/Ltype/LWeight/TRansparency/MATerial/Plot/Fre eze/Thaw/LOck/Unlock/stAte/Description/rEconcile]: Command: DIM1 Dim: _RESTORE Enter a dimension style name, [?] or : fullnormal Unknown dimension style. Current dimension style: Model Space Annotative: No Current dimension overrides: DIMTXSTY B_FULL Command: DIM1 Dim: _STYLE New text style : B_full Command: ._DIMALIGNED Specify first extension line origin or : nil Specify first extension line origin or : *Cancel* All on its own. Yet there's no other DAl command in the pgp file. Is there something I'm missing? Quote
