alijahed Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 Hi All, I've attached a blank drawing which has a block. but it's hiding somewhere and I can't find it and I don't know how to remove it. If you want to see that block you can find it in Insert>Block or Design Center. The other thing is, how can I get rid of those two Layers (ASL_Text and ASL_Dim). maybe those layers are using in that block! That's really annoying:cry: Cheers Ali 1.dwg Quote
nocturne00 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 try out LAYDEL with the [name] option, it will force delete any layers, used or unused. Quote
alijahed Posted November 20, 2008 Author Posted November 20, 2008 That was a cool command I like that. It gave me a bloody power like Terminator to go there and smash that block. but what about if I want to remove that block and keeping those layers as well. try out LAYDEL with the [name] option, it will force delete any layers, used or unused. nocturne00 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Ok your file has got me stumped but i did manage to get around it. set your MLEADERSTYLE to standard, and then purge the STD. then you can now purge the detailcallout block. i dont know how they are linked but that seems to have done the trick Quote
wizman Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 i had a look at your drawing, you got 24 blank mtexts, 72 blank texts(in layer ASL_text), 1 blank hatch and 1 paperspace vport (in layer asl_dim) and no insert of that block, but still i was not able to purge that block and vport. Quote
nocturne00 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 yeah creeped me out a bit when i did a select all in model space... those blue grips looked like CAD ghosts lol. Quote
alijahed Posted November 20, 2008 Author Posted November 20, 2008 Thank u so much. now I feel a lot better but how did u select them and found those information about blank objects? Cheers Ali yeah creeped me out a bit when i did a select all in model space...those blue grips looked like CAD ghosts lol. Quote
nocturne00 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 QUICKSELECT; try to zoom out in MS first. in the dialog box drop down the Object Type and you'll see the present entities (w/c in your drawing has Mtext, Hatch and Text entities). or you could do a select all (CTRL+A) Here's a screen of your file in MS Quote
alijahed Posted November 20, 2008 Author Posted November 20, 2008 I don't know why! on mine it found 97 objects but it appears as a one blue point! nocturne00 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 I don't know why! on mine it found 97 objects but it appears as a one blue point! Check your GRIPOBJLIMIT Variable, maybe its set to 1. i cant think of any other variable for controlling grip numbers Quote
alijahed Posted November 20, 2008 Author Posted November 20, 2008 How do u know about these commands!!! It was a stupid question at first but I learned many things out of it but GRIPOBJLIMIT was 100 not 1!!?? Check your GRIPOBJLIMIT Variable, maybe its set to 1.i cant think of any other variable for controlling grip numbers Quote
nocturne00 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 actually the last one was just a system variable. you can check out all the system variables in SYSVDLG, but i Cant think of a setting w/c limits your display of grips to only 1 when selecting all. you sure you zoomed out before you did a select all Quote
alijahed Posted November 20, 2008 Author Posted November 20, 2008 I just give up... and going to put another question 4 u experts actually the last one was just a system variable. you can check out all the system variables in SYSVDLG, but i Cant think of a setting w/c limits your display of grips to only 1 when selecting all. you sure you zoomed out before you did a select all Quote
