I'm creating a block with a block attribute.

In the blockeditor I can change the draworder so the attribute is partly under some lines. But the draworder in the blockeditor of the attribute doesn't work in the normal modelspace; the blockattribute is allways on top.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

I'm not sure if this is doable. But I'm also not perfectly clear on the problem. Post a DWG file (not an image or pic) with the attributed block inserted so that it is illustrating the problem. If this is something to do specifically with Civil, I won't be able to help, but probably someone else will, if you post the requested DWG. BTW, if you post it saved to the 2010 format, I can take a look at it, but if 2013, I cannot and probably many other potential advisors cannot either.

I'm not sure if it's doable either.

I attached the sample block, so you can see what I mean.

The attribute deffinition is above the line in the block, but when you open the block with the blockeditor it is drawn under the line.

I took a quick look at it. I see that you are using an Educational Product. It looks like you want the attribute to be partially obscured to indicate a mark through for revision. Have you tried plotting it to see what it does when you plot? Or does it have to be obscured in the DWG itself?

I´m using an educational product at home. It would be nice if it´s obscured in the drawing itself, but most important that it´s obscured when you plot the drawing.

I can get it obscured if it´s not an attribute, or if the crossing line isn´t in the block itself. But then you create two seperate elements.

Well, I don't have great news. I tried using a PLINE, A Solid Hatch, a WIPEOUT, the built-in Masking of MTEXT, and a SOLID, all with the same results--the Attributes came out on top every time. The only two options I can think of are: 1) Use the exact same color for the line and the text; 2) Nest the attributed block inside a block with the obscuring line. I would opt for the simplicity of the former. The latter might require a lot of pain and suffering overall, though I have seen it done (but not for the purpose you are seeking).

In Block Editor pick your line and give it an elevation. Back in your drawing use the hide command, and for plotting use the hidden line option, not sure what it will be in your version of CAD

Thanks for the effort! But that's probably not gonna do it.

I'm not sure what you're saying, I gave the crossing polyline an elevation in the block, but when I use the HIDE command in the drawing, the hatches and fills simply disappear and I can't zoom in or out untill I REGEN the drawing. And where can I find the hidden line option for plotting? I tried HLSETTINGS, but I'm not sure what to do with it.

Sorry, yes it does freeze up your drawing untill you do a regen, but you did say it was for plotting, the command SHADE may also work better (as I said don't know if it will work on your version I have LT).

For plotting, the setting is at the right hand side of the plot options dialogue.

You're welcome. Sorry it's not a possibility, as it seems to be by far the simplest solution. I hope you can find smth suitable. I can think of other options that would be far more complicated, but they would entail some sort of LISP routine. If you can't find anything here, you might try fishing for solutions in that subforum.
