f700es Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Isn't there a plugin for AutoCAD to publish to Google Earth? There used to be one. Did they kill it off? Quote

Squirltech Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 I use Global Mapper or you can export the linework from AutoCAD to a shapefile, then import the shapefile into Google Earth. Granted, the OP is wanting the entire DWG into GE. Just my $.02. Quote
eldon Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 As I said before, but nobody seems to read what I say, use AutoCAD WS. It is FREE and you can use Google maps for FREE. Quote

That is because nobody likes you Nah, I am picking we like you Weird that you can do it in WS but not in full AutoCAD any more. Quote
SLW210 Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Last I checked, my AutoCAD 2011 with the Autodesk Labs version still worked. But, Plexearth is many times better. I'll give Eldon's solution a try here in a day or two. Quote
Murph_map Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Basejump will be the replacement for Google's pluggin. http://labs.autodesk.com/utilities/basejump/ Quote
SLW210 Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Yes, for Map and Civil. Might be a selling point for me to convince the powers that be for an upgrade to Civil next year. Quote

eldon Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Now AutoCAD WS has been changed to AutoCAD 360, my previous posts do not apply. Perhaps you were right not to listen to me. Quote
f700es Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Nah, you gave good advice and seemed to be a good answer at the time. Quote
dbroada Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 I didn't listen! Oh wait, this isn't my question. Sorry. Quote
