Hello,

An architects has sent me over a few of his dwg files and I want to copy them over to our drawings and change layers etc...

The problem i've got is his UCS, its been changed around as in the image 1.png

I usually just click tools - new ucs- view to fix this and get the ucs back to normal and draw straight lines again. 2.png

I can do this in these files but when I add a border with viewport the model shows at a slant 3.png.

Can anyone tell me how I get the UCS back to a normal UCS with North at the top and South at the bottom so that when a viewport is added it shows correctly.

Thanks

And you tried this as well?

UCS > W to get the UCS to world setting. PLAN > CURRENT to get the display to orient so that North is up.

Thanks. Just tried this and it has now changed the model layout to how the drawing looked in the viewport; slanted.

I can work with this though and rotate the building to suit what I need.

Thanks again.
