Point Data & 3D TREES !!

Is there anybody who can help me with the following?

I need point data which I can use to do a Demonstration! It needs to be nez at least of a simple ground surface.

Basically it needs to have variation in levels as I need to create a surface and then view it in 3D. This is for visualization purposes only.

Just to demonstrate what can be done. If you think of a Golf course you should know what I mean.

Please help me.....please, please,please..... It would be much appreciated.

I also have another Question: Where do I get the 3d tress functionality from? I want to add tress to my 2d drawing but it has to be visible in 3d as you can see a corridor, surfaces and so on. How/ where do I get this palette / blocks?

There is a point file included with the download of SiteTopo or you can create one of your own by downloading topo gis data via Google Earth, USGS, etc.

And you can find bunches of blocks, including 3d trees, in this directory which installs with C3D > C:\Program Files\AutoCAD Civil 3D 2008\Data\Symbols\Mvblocks

Actually there are point files on the SiteTopo gallery page so you don't even have to download the program if you just want the sample point files.

Just a hint on 3d trees if you want real simple ones then do the following.

Take a tree you have in elevation view use rotate3d around the x axis this stands the tree up you are now looking down on top of it.

Using array polar copy the tree say 4 times around the centre of the trunk .

If you now view in 3d you should have a tree !
