netman Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 In AC LT 12 can you split the screen and work on one side independantly of the other without it also showing up on the opposite side? Quote
Dadgad Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 No, you cannot, if they are both the same drawing file, any changes, selections made, etcetera will be displayed on both sides, as they reference the same model. You can have two or more different drawings open with a split or double window however. Quote

netman Posted April 27, 2013 Author Posted April 27, 2013 OOOps! I got lost quick on that proceedure. Would you mind explaining how? I keep getting the same thing on both sides no matter what i do. As usual, its Operator Error. . . . . Quote
Dadgad Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 (edited) I have never used LT, but I am guessing you can do it too. In Vanilla Autocad you click on WINDOW up at the top of your screen on the MENU BAR. But you will need to have more than one file open when you try to initiate it, I think. Choose from the different display modes there. These will be independent autocad windows side by side, or lots of other configurations avaiolable too. You will only be working in any one of them at a time, but will be able to see as many as you have being displayed. To change focus to working in one of the others, just click inside that window.
