Mefloump Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 (edited) I recently upgraded to a 64bit machine and realized that I don't have the Inventor tooling addon .exe to reinstall and because version 2010 is no longer supported, autodesk "doesn't have it". Does anybody on here have the executable? Edited April 26, 2013 by Mefloump Quote
JD Mather Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 Check with your Value Added Reseller (VAR). Quote
Mefloump Posted April 25, 2013 Author Posted April 25, 2013 I tried that first JD but my VAR isn't as versed with Inventor as they are with AutoCAD so they did not know what i was talking about. I use CAD Technology Center, Inc for all of my Autodesk needs but my Inventor Suite 2010 was given to me by Autodesk directly for my input in the Inventor LT beta testing before it was launched. It was their way of saying thanks! I made it into the brochure on page 3 when they launched Inventor LT. I also tried asking Autodesk help on twitter and they did not have it either. I was hoping someone on here had saved the download and would be will to share it as it was a free add-on. Quote
JD Mather Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 I am confused about what version of Inventor you are running? Inventor Tooling does not run in Inventor LT (as LT does not support assemblies). You would need Inventor Professional to have access to Inventor Tooling. The only way to start Tooling is by starting from a Mold.iam template. http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Installation-Licensing/bd-p/24 Quote
Mefloump Posted April 25, 2013 Author Posted April 25, 2013 Sorry for the confusion JD, I do have Inventor Professional Suite 2010. I was simply stating that it was given to me by Autodesk for my input during the Inventor LT beta testing. My mistake was deleting the install file after I installed the add-on. http://https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/44457820/invlt_broch_overview_us.pdf See pg 3 on the right of the page. Quote
Mefloump Posted April 26, 2013 Author Posted April 26, 2013 Solved!! I was able to go into my old hard drive and in C:\Autodesk\Tooling_2010\add-on is the setup.exe. Quote
JD Mather Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Burn a backup DVD of anything you might need in the future. Quote
