biff Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Hi. I have an old hand drawn drawing, that I'm drawing into autocad. I'm drawing it 1 to 1 in model space. In the layout I was wanting to make a custom scale. The original drawing was drawn 3/4"-1'-0", so I was wanting that same scale for my autocad dwg. I went into Custom and did 1 paper to 0.75 dwg unit. I printed it on d-size and the objects aren't big enough. It didn't match up with the original hand drawing. What am I doing wrong? Thanks Quote
JD Mather Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 (edited) It sounds like you are trying to scale the plot rather than scale the paperspace layout viewport. Model always 1:1 (parts are parts) Plot always 1:1 (paper sheet is paper sheet) If you have, in fact, set a custom viewport scale - attach the file here (don't need any geometry in the file). This image shows where to change - not the actual scale value for your need. Edited April 24, 2013 by JD Mather Quote
JD Mather Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 BTW - it is rather astonishing how many of these questions could be answered by looking at a simple dwg example that exhibits the problem behavior, yet how infrequently the file is included with the question. Quote
rkent Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 It should be paper units .75, drawing units 12. Quote
