Skyhigh Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 Hello All, I have created a series of splined lines into a polyline (pedit) which I want to extrude. When I extrude the polyline I only get an extruded polyline and not a surface. I need to create a mesh or make the surface a face to extrude to make a solid. I have not used AutoCad for some years and have forgotten how to do this. I know that I am making an incorrect procedure here somehow. Can anyone give me some help or steer me into the correction. Thank you, Quote
MSasu Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 If your polyline is a closed one, the result of its extrusion will be directly a solid. Can you post a sketch of what you are looking to achieve? Quote
Dadgad Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 Welcome back, and to CADTutor. You might want to try the PRESSPULL command, which is a bit more forgiving than the EXTRUDE command. As Mircea mentioned, if you can start with a CLOSED polyline Extrude will generate a 3D Solid. Quote
Skyhigh Posted May 16, 2013 Author Posted May 16, 2013 Hi All, Been traveling once again. Guys thanks for your help. After I returned and saw your replies.. I figured it all out. I was using join then close instead of close then join.. Thank you, Skyhigh, Some days you eat the bear, some days the bear eats you.. Quote
