ReMark Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 What shape is the cabinet itself? Do you have an image you can share? You are creating this 3D model as a solid right? Quote

ReMark Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 (edited) One way would be to sweep or extrude an arc along a path. Edited March 26, 2013 by ReMark Sorry, I don't honor Friends request from first time posters. Quote
vexlah Posted March 26, 2013 Author Posted March 26, 2013 is there a video tutorial on that somewhere, or a more detailed descripion, sorry im very new to the Autodesk series Quote
ReMark Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 Not that I am aware of. Create an arc in the proper plane. Create a 3-sided path for the arc to follow. Do this using a continuous polyline. Use either the Sweep or Extrude command and pick the path you created previously. Quote
ReMark Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 The process I outlined. The result is a surface not a solid. If you need it to be a solid use the Thicken command. Quote

ReMark Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 I thought post #10 shows it pretty darn well. What's missing? There is the geometry to create the arc (the "U" shaped objects) and the arc itself. Once the arc is created all you need do is select the smaller of the two "U" shapes as your path when you execute either of the two commands I suggested. For what it's worth (saved in 2010 format): SweptArc.dwg Quote

JD Mather Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 (edited) There is an easier to understand technique Draw the side view and extrude width. Draw the front view and extrude depth. Intersection. Shell if desired. Hood.dwg Hood.dxf Edited March 26, 2013 by JD Mather Quote
