waseem038 Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 I have autocad 2012 installed on my system, now i want to install autocad electrical. What would I have to do? I think autocad electrical is not a separate programe, it is just a plugin. but I am not sure. Is it really so? If so what would I have to do to install that plugin? Quote
dbroada Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 (edited) Electrical is a bit more than a plug in (what ever that is), it is a full expansion to vanilla AutoCAD. It contains many libraries as well as being "project" based rather than individual drawings. Once installed you can ignore all the electrical bits and use it as you would use vanilla. As for obtaining it I think you would have to go through your distributor who will explore the best option for you. Edited March 15, 2013 by dbroada Quote
ReMark Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 You'll have to pay the difference in pricing between plain vanilla and ACADE. AutoCAD Electrical is considered an AutoCAD Vertical product and not a plug-in. Quote
