GP_ Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Hi, (MYSTERY) I can not find a solution to a problem raised by an user on an Italian forum. I insert a comment in the dwg with DWGPROPS and then I create a WBLOCK. If I insert the block into a new dwg with INSERT (dialog box), there exists the comment/description: If I insert the block with -INSERT or with lisp (command "insert" "D:/CADTutor/foo.dwg") there is no comment/description: Any suggestions? dbroada Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 no ideas here but what happens if you use Design Centre? Quote
Lee Mac Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Any suggestions? Copy the block definition from the external file using ObjectDBX? Quote
GP_ Posted March 4, 2013 Author Posted March 4, 2013 Thanks for the replies. no ideas here but what happens if you use Design Centre? The request was for use on existing "Image Tile Menus". Copy the block definition from the external file using ObjectDBX? That 's what I suggested, problem solved brilliantly with your "Copy Block". But I can not understand the different behavior between INSERT and -INSERT Quote
Lee Mac Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 That 's what I suggested, problem solved brilliantly with your "Copy Block". Excellent But I can not understand the different behavior between INSERT and -INSERT As a guess, I would say that the command-line version of the Insert command has not been updated since the implementation of descriptions in block definitions.
