michael256 Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 When I open certian drawings, my autocad will freeze up and says autocad application is not responding. this only happens with certian drawings. I have tried restarting my computer, closing all other programes and only having autocad running, opening the file on a diffrent computer, and updating my graphic driver. Any suggestions at this point would be greatly appreciated! I have attached a screen clip of the error message I'm getting. Thanks, Mike Quote
SLW210 Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 Have you tried a recovery on the drawing? Quote
michael256 Posted February 19, 2013 Author Posted February 19, 2013 I have, the recovery box turns to a grey scale and my curser turns to a spinning blue icon. I hit escape and I get the same "not responding" error Quote
Renslo Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Hey Michael, this happens to me often when im working on large projects, sometimes drawings will have multiple large x-refs (mostly surveys) I just have to be patient and let it run its course. Do you think this is whats happening with you? Whats the size of the drawing and attached drawings? (if any) If you can, put some more memory into your system, IT put some into mine recently, so this doesn't occur as often. Quote
SLW210 Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 What are your computer specifications? Graphics Card? Quote
